IT Recycling Across Yorkshire & Beyond

Our facility sits in Sowerby Bridge, a few miles from junction 24 of the M62 — which runs east to Hull and west to Manchester. Our own vehicles travel UK-wide; the only real question is whether a collection justifies the time and fuel.

The M62 corridor, and why it matters to your quote

Most IT disposal companies price collections on distance, because a van making a long round trip runs empty in one direction and that empty leg is dead cost. It is why suppliers apply distance surcharges, set minimum load sizes outside their home area, or simply decline jobs beyond a certain radius.

Our position is different, and it is worth explaining honestly because it directly affects what you pay.

Revolve funds free collections by refurbishing and remarketing equipment. A substantial share of that remarketing flows through a long-standing partner operation in North Lincolnshire. That means our vehicles run the M62 → M18 → M180 corridor on a regular schedule, carrying processed stock eastbound.

A vehicle heading east with stock has capacity coming back. Collections along that route fill a leg that would otherwise run empty — so the marginal cost of stopping for your equipment is small, and we can offer terms comparable to our home district well beyond the radius that would normally make sense.

The same motorway runs the other way, and we treat it the same way. Junction 24 is a few minutes from our gate, and Rochdale is closer to us than Leeds is. We run Rochdale and Manchester on a weekly scheduled route, and continue north up the M6 into Cumbria every fortnight — which is what makes collections viable in a county most suppliers decline outright.

The practical takeaway: distance is rarely the deciding factor — quantity is. A collection anywhere in the country works if the load justifies the time and fuel, and our own vehicles travel UK-wide on that basis. If your timing is flexible by a few days, say so when you book: aligning with a run we are already making is the easiest way to keep it free.

How coverage is structured

Home district (0–10 miles) Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford and Calderdale. Short lead times, no minimum load, drop-offs welcome.
Core region (10–25 miles) Leeds, Wakefield and the wider West Yorkshire conurbation. Regular scheduled runs.
M62 corridor east Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Hull, via the M18 and M180. Served by our established eastbound stock route rather than dedicated trips.
M62 corridor west — weekly Rochdale and Greater Manchester, on a weekly scheduled run. Rochdale is 12 miles from our gate, closer than Leeds.
Cumbria and the North West — fortnightly Kendal, Penrith, Carlisle, the west coast and Barrow, up the M6 every two weeks. Worth booking a week or two ahead to catch the next run.
Rest of the UK mainland Covered by our own vehicles, which travel nationally on a regular basis, with haulage available for larger loads. The test is whether the collection justifies the time and fuel — so quantity matters more than mileage.

Areas we cover

Each page below covers local access considerations, the sector mix in that area and the questions we are most often asked there.

Visiting or dropping off

You are welcome to see the facility. A number of clients — particularly in regulated sectors — prefer to view where their equipment is processed before signing anything off, and we would far rather you did than take our word for it.

Common questions about coverage

Do you only cover Yorkshire?
No. Our own vehicles travel all over the UK regularly — including Manchester, Rochdale and Cumbria as well as the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire runs. The only real test is whether the collection justifies the time and fuel, which is usually a question of quantity rather than distance. The pages listed here are simply the areas we are asked about most often.
Do you charge more for collections further away?
Distance matters far less than you would expect. Where equipment holds recoverable value the collection is funded by refurbishment rather than by a fee, and we are frequently travelling in your direction anyway. What matters is whether the load justifies the journey — so quantity affects the answer more than mileage does.
My town is not listed. Can you still collect?
Almost certainly. The listed pages are simply the areas we cover most often, not the limit of where we go. Call 01422 416821 with your location and rough equipment quantity and we will tell you straight away what is practical.
Can I drop equipment off instead?
Yes. Our facility at Unit 4, Copley Valley Business Park, Copley Valley Road, Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire, HX6 2WA accepts drop-offs. Please ring ahead so someone is expecting you and can complete the transfer paperwork.
