📊 ESG & Compliance Reporting

The part of ITAD that gets ignored until an auditor asks a question — and then becomes the only part that matters.

Three audiences, one collection

A single IT disposal typically has to satisfy three different internal readers, and they want different things:

We produce documentation for all three from the same collection, rather than treating reporting as an afterthought.

What is in the reporting pack

Chain of custody

Documented transfer from your premises to our facility, evidencing who held the equipment and when. This is the record that answers "where was it between Tuesday and Thursday?".

Serialised asset report

Every device recorded individually — make, model, serial number and outcome. This is what lets you reconcile against your own asset register and identify anything that did not arrive. Aggregate weights cannot do that.

Certificates of destruction

On our Premium service, a tamper-evident Blancco Certificate of Destruction per device with the serial number on it. Tamper-evidence matters: a PDF anyone could edit is weak evidence, and an auditor who understands the difference will say so.

Environmental and ESG data

Diversion-from-landfill figures, reuse versus recycling breakdown, and the carbon impact of extending equipment life rather than replacing it. Refurbishment usually produces the headline number here, because avoided manufacturing emissions dominate the calculation for IT hardware.

Reporting note: the largest carbon figure in an IT estate is almost always embodied — the emissions spent manufacturing the device, not running it. That is why keeping a machine in service for another three years usually beats any efficiency gain from replacing it, and why reuse rates are the number worth reporting.

Supporting your own audits

If you are working toward or maintaining ISO 27001 or ISO 14001, secure disposal is an explicit control area, and auditors routinely ask to see supplier due diligence and disposal records. We can supply our licence documentation and the destruction records for your assets as supporting evidence.

To be precise about our own position: Revolve is working toward ISO certification. Our ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental) audits are booked and we are awaiting the site visit; ISO 27001 (information security) follows once those two are complete. Until a certificate is actually issued we will not claim it — a supplier who overstates their accreditation is a risk to your audit, not an asset to it.

What we hold today, and what you can verify right now on the public registers, is our Environment Agency Upper Tier Waste Carrier registration, T11 and S2 waste exemptions and ICO registration. All four are linked from our footer.

Frequently asked questions

What reporting do we get with a collection?
Chain-of-custody documentation on every collection. Premium collections add a serialised asset report, a tamper-evident Blancco Certificate of Destruction per device, and environmental data for ESG reporting.
Can we reconcile your report against our asset register?
Yes — that is precisely what the serialised asset report is for. Every device is listed individually with make, model, serial number and outcome, so discrepancies are visible rather than hidden inside an aggregate weight.
Are you ISO 27001 or ISO 14001 certified?
Not yet — we are working toward certification. The ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits are booked and we are awaiting the site visit, with ISO 27001 to follow once those are complete. We hold Environment Agency Upper Tier Waste Carrier registration CBDU622766, T11 and S2 exemptions, and ICO registration ZC107193 today, all publicly verifiable.
Can you provide carbon savings figures for our sustainability report?
Yes. We provide diversion-from-landfill figures, a reuse versus recycling breakdown, and the carbon impact of life extension, which is usually the most significant number for IT hardware.
Will your documentation satisfy an ISO 27001 auditor?
Secure disposal is an explicit control area in ISO 27001, and auditors typically want supplier due diligence plus disposal records. We can supply our licence documentation and your serialised destruction records as supporting evidence.
