🚐 Collection & Logistics

Unmarked vehicles, GPS tracking and a documented chain of custody from the moment your equipment leaves your building.

How a collection works

  1. Tell us roughly what you have. An approximate device count and type is enough to start. A precise inventory is welcome but not required — we produce the definitive one at our facility.
  2. We agree a slot. Including any access constraints: floor level, lift availability, loading bay, timed restrictions, site induction requirements.
  3. We collect. Unmarked, GPS-tracked vehicles. Equipment is signed for and chain-of-custody documentation begins at your door.
  4. We process and report. Sanitisation, audit and reporting happen at our Sowerby Bridge facility, and your documentation follows.

Why the vans are unmarked

A vehicle with "IT DISPOSAL" down the side parked outside your office is an advertisement that valuable, data-bearing equipment is being loaded into it. Our vehicles carry no such livery. It is a small measure, but a free one.

All vehicles are GPS-tracked, so the location of your equipment between your premises and our facility is known and recorded rather than assumed.

Coverage

Our own vehicles travel all over the UK on a regular basis. Yorkshire and Lincolnshire are the obvious ones, but the M62 runs west as well as east — Rochdale is closer to our gate than Leeds is — so Greater Manchester and the North West are routine, and we run up into Cumbria regularly too. See areas we cover for detail on specific towns and cities.

The only real test is whether a collection justifies the time and fuel, which is usually a question of quantity rather than distance. Haulage is available on top for larger loads, but it is an option rather than the default — distance is much less of a constraint than it first appears.

Prefer to bring it to us? You are welcome to drop equipment at our Copley Valley facility in Sowerby Bridge. Ring 01422 416821 first so someone is expecting you and can complete the transfer paperwork. Drop-offs still receive full chain-of-custody documentation.

Frequently asked questions

Do you charge for collection?
For most loads, no. Where the equipment holds recoverable value the collection is free. Where it is genuinely end-of-life we provide a clear upfront quote before booking.
Are your vehicles marked?
No. Our vans carry no ITAD or recycling livery, so a collection does not advertise to passers-by that data-bearing equipment is being loaded. All vehicles are GPS-tracked.
Can you collect from a secure or restricted site?
Yes. Tell us your vetting, pre-notification and induction requirements when you enquire so we can meet them in advance rather than discovering them at the gate.
Do you collect outside Yorkshire?
Yes, regularly. Our own vehicles travel all over the UK — Lincolnshire and the Humber to the east, Rochdale, Greater Manchester and the North West to the west, and Cumbria further north. A collection simply has to justify the time and fuel, which usually comes down to quantity rather than distance. Haulage is available on top for larger loads.
Do we need a full asset list before you collect?
No. A rough device count and type is enough to plan the job. We produce the definitive serialised inventory during processing at our facility.
