Hull sits at the far end of the M62 — the same motorway that starts a few miles from our door. It is a long run, but a straight one, and one we build into our existing eastbound schedule.
Hull is the furthest of the areas we actively cover, at around seventy-five miles. It is also one of the simplest journeys we make: the M62 runs almost the entire distance from junction 24 near our facility to the A63 on the edge of the city.
We combine Hull collections with our regular eastbound corridor work rather than treating them as standalone trips, which is what makes them efficient — though our vehicles travel far further afield than Hull as a matter of routine, so the distance itself is not the obstacle it might appear. What actually matters is whether the load justifies the journey. A bit of flexibility on your side about timing translates directly into a better price on ours.

Hull has undergone a significant economic shift toward renewable energy, with the offshore wind sector and its supply chain now a major employer alongside the city's long-standing port and logistics industries. Those sectors bring engineering-heavy IT estates: design and simulation workstations with high-value components, ruggedised field equipment, and site-based systems in port and industrial environments.
The city also hosts the University of Hull, Hull City Council's estate, Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, and a substantial digital and creative sector that grew considerably following the city's 2017 UK City of Culture year. Add the food production base across the wider East Riding and the mix is genuinely broad.
One point worth making specifically to Hull and East Riding organisations in engineering, design and simulation work: the machines you are retiring are frequently worth considerably more than standard office hardware, and that changes the economics of a disposal project.
A CAD or simulation workstation three or four years old typically holds a professional GPU, substantial ECC memory and a high-core-count processor — components with strong secondary market demand. Where an office desktop of the same age might be worth very little, a workstation fleet can carry enough residual value to make the whole project cash-positive rather than a cost line.
The same applies to server and storage hardware coming out of port and industrial sites. Before you book any disposal, ask for a valuation — it costs nothing and occasionally changes the decision entirely. Our technology buyback page explains how we assess equipment.
Tell us roughly what you have and we will come back with a straight answer on cost and timing.
